Preflair — Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 July 2026
Preflair is operated by Lyudmyla Dombrovska-Melentyev, Gdańsk, Poland. Contact: preflair@preflair.com
1. What you are buying
You are buying a licence to use Preflair — access to the full catalog of checklists, in the browser, and in any Preflair apps that may exist in future.
You are not buying ownership of the content. You may not resell, republish, or redistribute the checklists as your own.
You may freely share your own lists — printed, exported to PDF, or sent to another person. Sharing what you are working on with your partner, your family, or your guests is the point. That will always be free, and the recipient needs no account and pays nothing.
2. What the checklists are
They are structure, not answers.
Each module is a set of general milestones: what usually needs doing, roughly in what order, and the things people commonly forget.
They are not legal, medical, financial, or professional advice. They are not complete. They are not guaranteed to be correct for your country, your family, or your circumstances.
Practice differs enormously between countries. A funeral in Ukraine typically happens within a day or two. In Poland it may be a month away. The same checklist cannot be right for both, and where Preflair does not yet know the difference, it will not pretend to.
You are expected to adapt them. Add your own sub-tasks. Change the dates. Skip what does not apply. The list is a scaffold you build on, not an instruction manual you follow.
If something matters legally, medically, or financially, ask someone qualified.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Preflair is provided "as is", without warranty that the content is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose, and Preflair is not liable for any loss arising from something a list did not mention, or mentioned wrongly.
3. Price
Preflair is a one-time payment. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. The current price is shown on the pricing section of preflair.com.
The price rises for new customers as the catalog grows, and it is announced publicly when it does.
The price you paid is the price you keep. If Preflair later costs more, you owe nothing further, and every module published after your purchase is included at no additional cost. You will never be asked to pay again, upgrade, or renew.
4. Refunds
14 days, no questions asked.
Email preflair@preflair.com, or request it through Paddle. You do not have to explain why.
Refunds are processed by Paddle, our payment provider. Your access ends when the refund completes.
This does not limit any statutory right you have under EU or Polish consumer law. Where the law gives you more, the law applies.
5. Payment
Payment is handled by Paddle, acting as merchant of record. They are the seller on the invoice, they take the payment, and they handle VAT.
Preflair never sees your card number, your billing address, or your full payment details.
6. Your account
Sign-in is through Apple or Google. There is no password and no signup form.
Your sign-in is your account. If you lose access to the Apple or Google account you bought with, you lose access to Preflair. There is no password reset, no email-based recovery, and no support process that can restore it, because Preflair does not hold the information that would make that possible.
Use the same sign-in every time. Signing in with Google on your laptop and Apple on your phone creates two separate accounts, and only one of them will have your purchase.
What Preflair sees, and what it does not, is set out in the Privacy policy.
7. Your data
Your events, checklists, and answers stay on your device. They are not stored on any Preflair server, and they are not read, analysed, or sold.
That means: **if you lose your device, or clear your browser data, your lists are gone.** Preflair cannot recover them, because Preflair never had them. Export a PDF of anything you cannot afford to lose.
8. Preflair may change, and may one day stop
Preflair is run by one person. It could end — through illness, life, or a decision to stop. If a significant change becomes likely, you will be told well in advance.
What is intended for continuity, and not yet done:
- Pre-funding the site, so that even if development stops, the existing modules
keep working and you can still build and export checklists. Not done yet.
- An escape valve for the content, so the modules and library data are released
publicly if the operator becomes unavailable for a long period. Not done yet.
These pages will be updated when each is in place.
What cannot be guaranteed: that a future operator would honour the same terms. That decision would be theirs.
What is promised: while Preflair is run by its current operator, the terms you bought under do not change.
If Preflair shut down entirely: your lists stay on your device, because they were never anywhere else, and any PDFs you exported are yours. New modules would stop. Refunds are handled by Paddle within the refund window; after that, there is no mechanism to return money for something already delivered.
9. What is not allowed
- Reselling, republishing, or redistributing the checklists as your own content
- Attempting to access paid content without paying for it
- Using Preflair to break the law
In practice, Preflair holds almost nothing about you and cannot monitor how you use it. These are terms you agree to, not a system of surveillance. Access may be revoked where a breach is established, but you should assume this rests on good faith rather than enforcement.
10. Law
These terms are governed by Polish law. Nothing here removes any right you have as a consumer under Polish or EU law; where the law gives you more, the law applies.
11. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the updated version appears here with a new date, and material changes are flagged on the site.
Changes never apply retroactively to a purchase already made. The terms you bought under are the terms you keep.
