What is Preflair?
A planning tool for life situations. You pick a module — hosting weekend guests, moving home, preparing for a divorce, planning a trip — answer a few questions, and get a structured checklist with phases, tasks, and timing. Work through it, print it, export it as a PDF.
It is for the moments where forgetting one thing has real consequences.
Who is it for?
People facing something they have not done before, or have not done often enough to be good at, and who would rather not improvise it.
Why not just ask ChatGPT?
You can, and it will give you something useful. Almost everyone reading this already uses it.
The honest difference is not that the AI cannot do it. It is that **doing it well is work, and the work lands on you at the moment you have least capacity for it.**
You have to know what to ask. You have to keep asking. You have to notice what it did not mention — which is the hard part, because you do not know what you have forgotten. You have to keep the result somewhere, keep it consistent, split it between the people helping you, and tell them when it changes. Every one of those is possible. Together they are a small project.
Preflair is what happens when someone has already done that, and stopped.
And then — please — take the list to ChatGPT. Ask it about any task on it. The list tells you what to ask, which is the part you could not have known. The AI can tell you the rest: in your country, in your language, in as much detail as you want. I am not trying to replace it. I am trying to give you the questions.
Do you use AI to write the modules?
Yes, to draft — and then I curate.
I use AI to produce a first draft and to attack a situation from angles I might miss. Then I read it, line by line, and rewrite what I disagree with. **Nothing reaches you until I have read it and would put my name on it.**
The judgment is the part I do not delegate, and it is the part you are paying for.
Is it free?
Part of it. Preflair lives at preflair.app, in your browser.
- Free: a selection of modules. You can use them completely — build a real
checklist, set dates, assign tasks, export a PDF. It is not a demo.

What do I get when I buy?
Every module in the catalog, and every module published after you buy, at no extra cost, forever. One payment. No subscription.
Which modules are free?
A selection of them. I intend to change which ones over time — retiring some from the free set and putting new ones in, so it stays alive rather than frozen. That rotation has not started yet; today's free set is simply the modules published so far.
Nothing you have bought is ever taken away. Rotation affects only what is free, never what a paying customer has.
Privacy and data
What data do you collect about me?
Your events, checklists, and answers stay in your browser, on your device. I never see them.
When you sign in, the authentication provider stores an account identifier. If you sign in with Google, Google also passes it your email address and display name. I never ask for them and never use them. But they are there. Sign in with Apple lets you choose "Hide My Email", and then I never see your real address at all.
Preflair's own records contain only: an account identifier, whether you paid, when, and how much.
If you send feedback through the contact form, I receive your message and email, and use them only to reply.
Will you send me marketing emails?
No. Never. No newsletter, no promotions, no "come back" nudges. If you sign in with Google I end up holding your email address, and I still will not use it.
Do you track me?
No. No Google Analytics. No advertising pixels. No tracking cookies. Cloudflare provides anonymised request logs for hosting only.
Can you read my events and tasks?
No. They live on your device and never reach me.
Buying and access
How do I sign in?
With Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. No password, no signup form.
See "What data do you collect about me?" for what each option means for your email address — they are not the same.
Use the same one every time. Signing in with Google on your laptop and Apple on your phone creates two separate accounts, and only one of them will have your purchase.
How much does it cost, and will the price change?
Preflair is a one-time payment. There is no subscription, no recurring charge, and no tier you might miss. The current price is on the pricing section of this site.
The price rises for new customers as the catalog grows, and it is announced publicly when it does.
The price you paid is the price you keep, forever. If Preflair later costs more, you owe nothing further, and every module published after your purchase is still included. You will never be asked to pay again, upgrade, or renew.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. 14 days, no questions asked.
Email preflair@preflair.com, or request it through Paddle, who handle payment. You do not have to explain why.
Who takes the payment?
Paddle, acting as merchant of record. They are the seller on the invoice, they take the payment, and they handle VAT. I never see your card number or your billing details.
What if I lose access to my Apple ID or Google account?
You lose access to your purchase. Your sign-in is your account: there is no password reset and no email-based recovery, because I do not hold the information that would make one possible.
That is the honest trade-off for the privacy. If recoverable purchases matter more to you, you may prefer products that store your email and can reset it.
Does my purchase work on all my devices?
Yes. You buy once, and it is yours wherever you sign in. I hold the record of your purchase myself, so it is not tied to a platform or an app store.
Can I share my purchase with my family?
No. One person, one purchase.
But sharing your lists is free, and always will be. Export a PDF and send it to your partner, your family, your guests. They need no account and pay nothing.
What does "lifetime" actually mean?
As long as Preflair exists and I run it: your purchase covers every module I ever publish, with no further fees.
Honestly: Preflair is run by one person. Like any small indie product, it might one day stop — through illness, life, or a decision to stop. I cannot promise it will be here unchanged in twenty years, and I will say so well in advance if that becomes likely.
What I intend to set up for continuity — and what is not done yet:
- Pre-funding the site. I intend to prepay the domain for many years, so that
even if development stops, the existing modules keep working and you can still build and export checklists. Not done yet. I will update this line when it is.
- An escape valve for the content. I intend to arrange for the modules and
library data to be released publicly if I become unavailable for a long period, so your checklists are not trapped. Not done yet.
What I cannot guarantee: that a future operator would honour the same terms. That decision would be theirs. What I can promise: while I run Preflair, the terms you bought under do not change.
If Preflair shut down entirely: your lists stay on your device, because they were never anywhere else, and any PDFs you exported are yours. New modules would stop. Refunds are handled by Paddle within the refund window; after that, there is no mechanism to return money for something already delivered.
If long-term durability is critical to you, you may prefer a product backed by a large company. I think the trade-off — privacy, no subscriptions, one payment, and being told the truth about the risks — is worth it for many people. But it is your call, and you should make it knowing all of that.
Using Preflair
Do I need an account to use the free modules?
No. Open preflair.app and start. Your lists stay in your browser.
You only need to sign in to buy, and to unlock what you bought.
What happens if I clear my browser data?
Your lists are gone, and I cannot get them back — they were never on my servers. That is the direct consequence of not storing your data.
Export a PDF of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Can I share a checklist with someone?
Yes, and you do not need to be the only one working from it.
Export it as a PDF, or share it directly. Whoever you send it to needs no account and pays nothing.
You can filter by who is responsible, so one person gets only their own tasks. Or choose one page per person: a single document with a page for each person involved — so everyone finds their own list, and can see what everyone else is doing. Twelve dishes and eight guests, one document, one send.
On a phone, Share hands the file straight to WhatsApp, Telegram, Messages, mail — whatever you use. On a computer it saves the PDF, or shares it if your system supports it.
Real-time collaborative editing — both of you ticking things off and seeing each other's changes live — is not planned. Preflair is built around one person owning the plan.

Yes. Use the contact form, or email preflair@preflair.com. I read everything.

How do I contact you?

What should I include if something goes wrong with my purchase?
Because I hold so little about you, please tell me:
- The account you signed in with (Apple or Google)
- Roughly when you bought it
- What is going wrong
I will do my best. Some things I genuinely cannot fix — a lost Apple ID, for instance — and I will tell you plainly when that is the case.
Is Preflair available in other languages?
Not yet. English first, then Polish, then others.
Language is not the whole problem. Practice differs by country: a funeral in Ukraine happens within a day or two; in Poland it may be a month away. The same list cannot be right for both, and where Preflair does not yet know the difference, it will not pretend to.
Is it accessible (screen readers, and so on)?
Preflair is built to WCAG 2.1 Level AA: keyboard navigation, screen reader support, sufficient contrast, large touch targets. If you find a problem, email preflair@preflair.com.
Technical
What platforms does Preflair run on?
Any modern browser, on a phone, tablet, or computer. There is nothing to install.
Native mobile apps may come later. They are not built yet, and nothing here depends on them.
Does it work offline?
Mostly. Once loaded, your lists live on your device, so you can keep working without a connection. You need to be online to sign in, to buy, and to load the paid catalog for the first time.
